DALLAS' KITCHEN DOG THEATER TO HOST ANNUAL CONFERENCE JUNE 19-21

National New Play Network's 2009 Annual Conference and meeting of the Board of Directors will be held Friday June 19 - Sunday June 21, 2009 at NNPN Founding Member Kitchen Dog Theater and the four-star Stoneleigh Hotel & Spa in Dallas, TX. Representatives from all 24 member theaters from across the country are expected to be in attendance. The conference coincides with Kitchen Dog's eleventh annual New Works Festival, as well as its NNPN rolling world premiere of Yussef El Guindi's Jihad Jones and the Kalashnikov Babes. A special reading of the 2008 Smith Prize-winning play, ...And LA is Burning by Y York, is a Conference highlight on Saturday night at 8pm.

In addition to a round of business and strategic planning, a number of important announcements will come out of the conference, including the winner of the 2009 NNPN commission, recipients of the 2009-10 Emerging Playwright Residencies, and fifteen Continued Life of New Plays Fund rolling world premiere productions.
